A modern estate home had settled and cracked, on finished brick paving. URETEK installed micropiles through small, targeted openings — halting the settlement and restoring the surface to blend with the original, leaving almost no trace.
A modern home in the Chuan Chuen Modus project near Chaeng Watthana had settled, cracking walls and leaving some floors uneven. The challenge: the house was finished and lived-in, with attractive brick paving the owner did not want ruined. So URETEK underpinned it with micropiles using the smallest possible openings and the neatest possible restoration.
🧱 The Problem: Cracks on a Finished Home
Diagonal wall cracks and uneven floors signalled uneven foundation settlement — but the home was fully finished, so the repair had to disturb the brick paving and floor as little as possible.
🎯 The Brief: Fix the Foundation Without Wrecking the Finishes
Rather than tearing up the whole brick patio, the crew opened only small pockets at each pile position to reach the footing, keeping as much of the original brick as possible for re-laying.
🔩 Micropiles Through Small Openings
Steel micropiles were hydraulically jacked to firm strata through the small openings, with the pile heads welded to the existing footing — compact equipment working in the tight space beside the house.
📊 Quality Control: Crack Measurement + Per-Pile Records
The team measured crack widths to gauge movement and recorded the pressure and depth of every pile (pile 1, 2 …) to confirm each one carries the load specified by the engineer.
✨ A Seamless Restoration
Once the piles were in, each pocket was filled with concrete and the brick re-laid to match the original patio — the area looks as good as before, with the settlement stopped at its source.
