A two-storey home in Prachachuen had settled — both the house itself and the concrete walkway slab around it, which had gradually tilted and pulled away from the wall. Work like this demands high leveling precision, so URETEK underpinned it with micropiles while controlling grade with an optical level, lifting every point back to the correct level.
📐 Re-Leveling with an Optical Level
The team set up an optical level and read to the millimetre throughout the lift, so the house and its surrounding slab returned to the correct grade — not merely lifted, but lifted precisely to level.
📏 Crack Measurement, Before & After
Crack widths were measured with scale cards and a steel ruler, both before and after the lift, to confirm the cracks actually closed once the structure was back in place.
🕳️ Opening the Footing & Finding Voids
Opening the floor at each point revealed voids and subsided soil beneath the footing and perimeter slab — the reason the house and walkway had settled unevenly.
⚙️ Micropile Jacking & Controlled Lift
Steel piles were hydraulically jacked to firm strata, then the structure was lifted gradually while reading the optical level, with pressure and depth logged for every pile until the target grade was reached.
✅ The Result: House and Slab Back to Level
Both the house and the walkway returned to correct level, the cracks closed, and the settlement stopped — with full level and pressure records for every pile as evidence.
