🛣️ The Brief: Repair a Main Road with Minimal Traffic Impact
The work sat on a busy road, so it had to be done overnight, closing only the necessary lanes, with no wide excavation of the surface, and the road handed back for use by the next morning.
🧪 Survey & DCP Soil Testing
Injection points were set along the settled line, the road surface leveled, and soil strength tested with DCP to confirm conditions before and after treatment.
💠 Polyurethane Injection to Fill Voids Beneath the Surface
Small holes were drilled through the surface and polyurethane resin injected beneath the pavement; the resin expands to fill voids and compact the sub-base, increasing bearing capacity without removing the road surface.
✅ The Result: A Stable Road, Reopened by Morning
The voids were filled, the road bears load again, the small injection holes sealed flush, and traffic reopened the next morning — keeping the impact on road users to a minimum.
